Nikki Haley Blasts Trump's Anti-war Stance on Ukraine He's Weak in the Knees

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley accused President Donald Trump is “weak in the knees” for not wanting to support the war in Ukraine, calling him “thin-skinned and easily distracted.”

“He was the right president at the right time,” Haley told an audience at the Portsmouth Rotary Club Meeting.

“He broke things that needed to be broken,” she added.

“He listened and brought in a group of people who felt unheard,” Haley said.

“He was strong on foreign policy and getting America respected in the world.”

The former South Carolina governor then began attacking Trump.

“He was thin-skinned and easily distracted,” Haley said.

“He didn’t do anything on fiscal policy and really spent a lot of money, and we are all paying the price for it,” she said.

“He did a better job than Biden on the border,” Haley admitted.

“He used to be good on foreign policy, and now he has started to walk it back and get weak in the knees when it comes to Ukraine.”

Trump fired back at Nikki Haley for her remarks on the Ukraine war, stating:

“It’s silly that anyone who is polling as low as left-leaning corporate media should be lecturing anyone about leadership.”

“There’s only one person who can end the killing and bring peace — President Trump,” said Trump Campaign Spokesman Steven Cheung.

“America isn’t going to listen to anyone who wants more war, more bloodshed, and more innocent people being killed.”

A recent Fox News poll found that 56% of Republicans say the US should be sending less money to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, a CNN poll found that 55% of Americans say Congress should not authorize additional funding to support Ukraine.

Earlier this month, Haley urged Republicans to continue sending billions of dollars to Ukraine, arguing it is just a tiny portion of the US defense budget.

During an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union,’ Haley was asked about the G20 not condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in this year’s statement.

“It was a win for Russia and China. They’re celebrating today,” Haley said.

“I mean, what we should have had was, Biden, should have really pushed hard to acknowledge what he acknowledged a year ago, that Russia invaded a pro-American, freedom-loving country,” she added.

“And that’s a fact. And to deny a fact a year later is giving a win to Russia.”

Earlier this month, The Daily Fetched reported that Secretary of State Antony Blinken pledged $1 billion more for Ukraine, including $300 Million for the country’s law enforcement, saying the United States is “determined to continue to walk side-by-side” in its ongoing war with Russia.

“We are determined in the United States to continue to walk side-by-side with you,” Blinken told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday.

“President Biden asked me to come, to reaffirm strongly our support, to ensure that we are maximizing the efforts that we’re making and other countries are making for the immediate challenge of the counteroffensive as well as the longer-term efforts to help Ukraine build a force for the future that can deter and defend against any future aggression, but also to work with you and support you as you engage in the critical work of strengthening your democracy, rebuilding your economy,” Blinkden said.
