Mike Pence US Troops Will Be Forced to Fight Russia If Ukraine Loses War

Former Vice President Mike Pence warned that American troops will be forced to fight Russia if it succeeds in its efforts to conquer Ukraine and win the war.

As Just The News reported, Several alliance members already directly border Russia, though should Moscow annex Ukraine, it would brush up against several more. During an appearance on NewsNation, Pence opined that a bellicose Moscow was likely to cross international boundaries and provoke a conflict with NATO.

“I’m convinced that if the Ukrainian military doesn’t stop and repel that Russian invasion, it’s not going to be too long before that Russian army crosses a border that our men and women in uniform are going to have to go and fight under our NATO Treaty,” Pence said.

“I truly believe it. Whether that’s Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania… Poland, I don’t know.”

Pence has been pushing for more US aid to Ukraine, which has become increasingly unpopular, with 55% of Americans opposing further aid in a recent CNN poll.

“Give [Ukraine] the resources that they need to fight and to win and to drive that Russian military back… Because it’s in our interests and I think, ultimately, it’s in the interests of peace and security in the world,” Pence asserted.

In contrast to Mike Pence, President Donald Trump has vowed to end the Ukraine war within 24 hours should he should be reelected.

But Pence said such a development would require capitulating to the Kremlin.

In July, Pence faced massive backlash for his comments about sending more aid to Ukraine and how crumbling US cities are “not his concern” during a sit-down interview with Tucker Carlson.

Last week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken pledged a further $1 billion for Ukraine, including $300 Million for the country’s law enforcement, saying the United States is “determined to continue to walk side-by-side” in its ongoing war with Russia.

“We are determined in the United States to continue to walk side-by-side with you,” Blinken told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday.

“President Biden asked me to come, to reaffirm strongly our support, to ensure that we are maximizing the efforts that we’re making and other countries are making for the immediate challenge of the counteroffensive as well as the longer-term efforts to help Ukraine build a force for the future that can deter and defend against any future aggression, but also to work with you and support you as you engage in the critical work of strengthening your democracy, rebuilding your economy,” Blinden said.
