Former Australian tennis player, Alicia Molik, jumped into action when she noticed a young girl had collapsed on a nearby court.
Molik was being honored as the new Adelaide International tournament director in a special on-court ceremony in Australia when she noticed a loud thump behind her.
While turning around to see what the noise was, Molik noticed a young girl named Jasmine had collapsed on the court behind her.
Molik immediately fled the live feed and ran to the young girl’s aid.
The young player, Jasmine, played on the court for several hours before collapsing.
Molik administered general first aid to the girl after ensuring her airway was clear.
Molik stayed with the girl until emergency personnel arrived.
Jasmine is now recovering at a local hospital.

7 News reported:
Molik’s appointment to the Adelaide International team comes after spending ten years leading Australia’s Billie Jean King Cup side.
Having led the country to the championship tie in 2019 and 2022, one last finals campaign followed earlier this month when the Aussies were knocked out in the group stage.
But Molik hasn’t put her feet up for a summer of rest.
The tournament director role marks a homecoming for the South Australian who has been based in Perth with her family, while it also ensures she will not be lost to the Australian tennis scene after leaving the BJK Cup role.
“Tennis is part of my everyday DNA and to have the opportunity to be a part of a world-class tennis event in the city where I grew up is really something special,” Molik said in a statement.
“This is a chance for me to give back to the community that supported me throughout my on-court career and still to this day.”
