While ABC talk show hosts of “The View” were smugly celebrating the indictment of former President Donald Trump last week, their gloating immediately came to a halt when a legal note was read out, visibly disturbing Whoopi Goldberg.
It’s worth noting that only did Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg fail to resent an underlying crime, there are also questions about whether the DA had jurisdiction to bring the case.
When co-host Sunny Hostin had to read a legal note from the Trump team on the indictment, Whoopi Goldberg became unnerved.
“I have a legal note: Trump has pleaded not guilty and denied any criminal wrongdoing and said he never had an affair with Stormy Daniels or Karen McDougal,” she said.
“I’m not saying a thing,” Goldberg said, who was visibly upset and annoyed.

Meanwhile, the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee is “seriously” considering issuing subpoenas for Bragg and two prosecutors who resigned from his team folowing he Trump indictment.
The New York Times reported:
“The unexpected development came not long after the high-stakes inquiry appeared to be gaining momentum and now throws its future into serious doubt. The prosecutors, Carey R. Dunne and Mark F. Pomerantz, submitted their resignations because the new Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, indicated to them that he had doubts about moving forward with a case against Mr. Trump, the people said. Mr. Pomerantz confirmed in a brief interview that he had resigned but declined to elaborate. Mr. Dunne declined to comment.”
“Without Mr. Bragg’s commitment to move forward, the prosecutors late last month postponed a plan to question at least one witness before the grand jury, one of the people said. They have not questioned any witnesses in front of the grand jury for more than a month, essentially pausing their investigation into whether Mr. Trump inflated the value of his assets to obtain favorable loan terms from banks,” the NYT report added.
As we reported last week, Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul Bragg that he could be forced out of office and face arrest after new evidence surfaced in former president Donald Trump’s case.
“Wonder if DA Bragg remembers Durham DA Mike Nifong, who withheld exculpatory DNA tests on the Duke lacrosse players,” Paul said.
“He was subsequently forced out of office, disbarred, and convicted of contempt of court,” the Republican Senator added, referring to Nifong, the district attorney in the 2006 case accusing Duke University lacrosse players of rape before they were exonerated and escaped jail.
In a separate statement just before the news of Trump’s indictment, Rand Paul said, “A Trump indictment would be a disgusting abuse of power,” adding Bragg should face arrest and be “put in jail.”

Observing those emotion-laden dames lacking rational and logical thinking abilities I understand how the USA began swirling down the drain to destruction in 1920 when that horrid 19th-amendment gave the Precious Princesses, the silly little girls, voting privileges.
The Founders were wise enough to not allow those easily-swayed by emotional appeals females to have access to voting. It would also be very wise to prohibit females from holding political office. Sure, a very few females have the mental qualities needed to be a wise clear-thinking voter. However, the vast majority of those silly inane little girls are sorely lacking in the traits to male sound, logical voting decisions.
