Whoopi Goldberg admitted that “politics got in the way of a lot of looking for the truth” of the origin of the coronavirus while discussing FBI Director Chris Wray’s recent statement that the virus likely came from a Chinese lab leak.
During Wednesday’s broadcast of “The View,” Goldberg said, “The politics got in the way of a lot of looking for the truth, but they still are not saying definitively, and that’s a problem.
“They still don’t know for sure. You know, who knows where it came from? Maybe it did, maybe it didn’t,” she added.
“But I know when the last guy before Biden said anything about this, he made it about Asian people,” Goldberg continued.
“If you know who had not started it with that, had he not made it about that…It probably would have been listened to a lot differently,” she added.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said: “The reality is 7 million people were killed by coronavirus and getting to the origins matters to be able to avoid another massive pandemic that kills people.”
“I remember in February 2020, before a lot of countries were shut down for travel, I was at the DoD, and we were talking about an accidental leak as a very legitimate way this may have come out,” Griffin added.
“There’s no consensus in the scientific community, but the effort to silence it was destructive,” she said.
It now appears communist China is doing everything it can to silence high-profile people talking about the coronavirus origin and lab leak theory.
As we reported earlier today, China warned Twitter CEO Elon Musk not to address the coronavirus lab leak theory if it affects his business prospects in the country.
Musk commented on a post from “Kanekoa The Great” questioning whether Dr. Anthony Fauci played a role in creating the virus.
“Dr. Anthony Fauci funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, lied to Congress about it, and now both the FBI & the Department of Energy have concluded that the coronavirus originated at the Wuhan lab. Does that mean Dr. Anthony Fauci funded the development of COVID-19?” asked the account.
Musk responded to the post referencing the nonprofit group to which Fauci’s institute gave $8 million in grants to study bat coronaviruses.
China responded to Musk’s comment, warning him not to bite the hand that feeds him, which appeared to allude to his Tesla factory campus in Shanghai, China.
