A School district in Utah has pulled the Holy Bible from its libraries, claiming it contains porn and full of violence.
Elementary and middle school students will no longer have access to the Bible at school libraries after the district review committee in Utah decided to only make it available at high school libraries due to “vulgar” porn and violent” content.
School district spokesman Christopher Williams explained to NBC News that the committee chose to “retain the book in school library circulation only at the high school level based on age appropriateness due to vulgarity or violence.”
As The Daily Fetched reported in March, the decision came after a far-left Utah parent demanded the Davis County School District remove the Bible from its schools, calling it “one of the most sex-ridden books around.”
According to the lone parent, the Bible violates a Utah law passed in 2022 to ban books that contain “pornographic or indecent” content from Utah schools.
“I thank the Utah Legislature and Utah Parents United for making this bad faith process so much easier and way more efficient,” the complaint said.
“Now we can all ban books, and you don’t even need to read them or be accurate about it. Heck, you don’t even need to see the book!”
“Incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even infanticide,” the complaint continued.
“You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ‘no serious values for minors’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition.”
The controversy follows complaints around the country about sexually explicit books being available in school libraries, which prompted pushes from conservative lawmakers and parents to remove the content.
Recently, Governor Ron DeSantis pushed to remove volumes such as “Let’s Talk About It,” which depicts images of how ow children can masturbate, and “Gender Queer,” which includes imagery of homosexual activity in the form of cartoons.
One mother was barred from entering a school’s library in Virginia after she exposed pornographic reading material being pushed on Fairfax High School students. Stacy Langton went viral after she read books available to students that included graphic depictions of sex and pedophilia.
