Donald Trump has vowed to release all the remaining files on the John F Kennedy (JFK) assassination if he is re-elected as President in 2024.
During an interview with The Messenger, the 45th President promised to release every remaining file on the JFK assassination.
“I released a lot, as you know. And I will release everything else,” Trump said.
The release would mean that 4300 files, which currently remain redacted, would become public.
Trump delayed the full release of the remaining JFK assassination files in 2018, with Joe Biden later postponing that until December 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While Biden did release some documents, thousands still remain hidden.
Trump refrained from commenting on what is in the files, noting, “Well, I don’t want to comment on that. But I will tell you that I have released a lot.”
“I will release the remaining portion very early in my term.”
During his first term, Trump reportedly told Judge Andrew Napolitano:
“If you saw what I saw [in the files], you wouldn’t want to release it either,” with an official statement noting, “certain information should continue to be redacted because of identifiable national security, law enforcement, and foreign affairs concerns.”
Earlier this month, Democratic Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Junior said he believed the CIA was “involved in the murder” of his uncle and had engaged in a 60-year cover-up”.
As The Daily Fetched reported last month, RFK Jr said his father, the late Robert F Kennedy, and his uncle President John F Kennedy, were fighting the deep state military-industrial complex before their untimely deaths.
“I think it had an impact on the world. I think my father and uncle were fighting against the emergence of the military-industrial complex,” RFK Jr said, appearing to allude to the deep state.
He continued:
“Their deaths really marked a fork in the road for our country and the rest of the world where we started down this road towards corporatism which I call the corrupt merger of state and corporate power.”
