President Donald Trump promised to carry out “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history” during his Wednesday speech in Dubuque, Iowa.
Trump’s remarks came after reports of thousands of migrants on open train cars in Mexico heading towards the US southern border.
“One of the most important issues in this campaign is ending the nation-wrecking catastrophe on our southern border,” Trump’s prepared remarks read.
“Under my leadership, we had the most secure border in US history,” he said.
“Now, we have the worst border in the history of the world,” they continue, deeming the current immigration crisis as an “invasion.”
Trump will say he is the “only candidate in this race who will stop it cold on DAY ONE.”
“A vote for President Trump means Joe Biden’s horror show at the southern border ends at high noon on Inauguration Day, 2025,” the remarks read.
Trump also reminded voters that he did more to secure the border in his first term than “any president in history.”
“Upon my inauguration, I will immediately terminate every Open Borders policy of the Biden administration,” Trump continued.
“Following the Eisenhower Model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American History,” Trump will say.
Even before becoming the GOP nominee in 2016, Trump has long channeled former President Dwight Eisenhower’s “Operation Wetback.”
“People liked him. I liked Ike. [That’s the] expression. ‘I Like Ike.’ Moved a million and a half illegal immigrants out of this country, moved them just beyond the border: They came back. Moved them again, beyond the border: They came back. Then moved them way south. They never came back,” Trump said in November 2015.
According to an analysis released by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) in June, the number of illegal immigrants in the US increased to almost 17 million.
As Breitbart noted, it is “an increase of 2.3 million illegal aliens since Biden took office in January 2021 and an increase of 1.3 million illegal aliens since the same time last year.”
The analysis estimated that the mass immigration costs the American taxpayer $163 billion a year.
Earlier this month, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed Biden has “done more to secure the border than anybody else.”
Karine Jean-Pierre’s remarks come just days after San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents came under fire after attempting to arrest human smugglers and migrants who tried to cross the border from Mexico.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration has been dismantling, disposing, and auctioning portions of the Mexican-American border wall constructed under Donald Trump.
“The president has done more to secure the border and to deal with this issue of immigration than anybody else, he really has,” Karine Jean-Pierre said, which is the opposite to what Biden has done.

Millions of people have illegally crossed the border since Biden entered office in January 2021.
Last year, a massive migrant caravan of over 1,000 illegals crossed the El Paso, Texas border.
The Daily Fetched reported the Biden administration was allowing thousands of illegal immigrants to pour into America through “welded open” floodgates on the Arizona border.
