Donald Trump is the only living former US president who is not descended from slaveowners, according to an explosive Reuters report.
The media and Democrats will have a tough time spinning this one!
According to the report, former presidents Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama are all descendants of slaveholders.
Obama is a descendant of a slaveholder through his white mother’s side.
However, Trump was not descended of slaveowners, mainly because his ancestors came to the United States after slavery was abolished.
As Reuters reported
“In researching the genealogies of America’s political elite, a Reuters examination found that a fifth of the nation’s congressmen, living presidents, Supreme Court justices, and governors are direct descendants of ancestors who enslaved Black people.
Among 536 members of the last sitting Congress, Reuters determined at least 100 descend from slaveholders. Of that group, more than a quarter of the Senate – 28 members – can trace their families to at least one slaveholder.
Those lawmakers from the 117th session of Congress are Democrats and Republicans alike. They include some of the most influential politicians in America: Republican senators Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Tom Cotton, and James Lankford, and Democrats Elizabeth Warren, Tammy Duckworth, Jeanne Shaheen, and Maggie Hassan.”
Ironically, Democrats have long tried to smear Trump as a racist when in fact, the truth is the opposite.
As Gianno Caldwell wrote in The New York Post on July 4, 2020:
African Americans were experiencing the best economy under Trump. Unemployment for our racial group was the lowest in recorded history, black wages were rapidly increasing for the first time in decades, and people who’d been out of work long-term were being hired and suddenly able to take their families on vacations for the first time in years.
The Trump policies made it possible. Tax cuts and rocketing GDP growth meant companies were feeling financially stable for the first time in a decade, and public confidence in our economy had never been higher. Trump’s re-election was on cruise control. Even Democrats were willing to admit that the chances of Trump losing were slim.
Notably, Joe Biden has issued numerous slurs and dubious statements about race.
In 2020, Biden declared if black Americans are unsure whether to support him over Trump, “then you ain’t black.”
“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” Biden told Charlamagne tha God during an interview.
Biden’s remarks caused a massive uproar. However, the media did everything they could downplay it.
In 2019, Joe Biden suggested “white kids” are smarter than other kids.
“We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor, you cannot do it; poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids,” Biden said.
In 2007, Biden described Obama as a “bright and clean” black person.
“You got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man,” Biden said.
