Donald Trump has reportedly raised over 200 million since a Manhattan jury returned a guilty verdict against him last week, a figure that, despite what the media would have you believe, shows the former president’s support is stronger than ever.
Trump’s son, Eric Trump, whose wife is Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump, made the revelation on Fox’s “Sunday Morning Features” with host Maria Bartiromo.
“This might be a little inside information, but as I was leaving my house about 37 seconds ago, I asked my wife, what are we up to now?” Eric Trump said.
“And [Lara] said, just in terms of small dollar, we’re well over $70 million.”
“This is $21 donations, $43 donations, right, small dollar donations.”
“If you add the large dollar donations to it, you’re over $200 million,” he continued.
Watch
Eric Trump noted that “30 percent of those people have never been seen before by a political party” as they were first time political donors.
“I mean, these are Americans who are p***sed off,” he continued.
“They’re coming out of the woodwork and they want to support a guy that they just believe he’s getting bamboozled by a system.”
Last week, Venture capitalist and former Hillary Clinton donor Sean Maguire announced he had donated $300,000 to Trump’s campaign, stating he refuses to “live in a society where people are afraid to speak.”
Maguire was one of many high-profile people who began supporting Trump following the verdict.
“I just donated $300k to President Trump,” Maguire posted on X.
“The timing isn’t a coincidence.”
