Top Republican Says Communist China is Conducting 'Warfare' against U.S with Fentanyl Crisis

The United States is currently facing a fentanyl crisis impacting communities across the country.

Fentanyl is a highly potent synthetic opioid responsible for a significant number of drug overdoses in the country. According to recent statistics, fentanyl is now the deadliest drug in the United States, with more deaths attributed to it than any other substance, including heroin and cocaine.

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) said that China is conducting warfare by intentionally flooding the U.S. with fentanyl.

Ernst, who serves as chairman of the Republican Policy Committee, made the remarks during an interview with CBS News.

“The Chinese are selling these precursor chemicals into Mexico. Then the Mexican cartels are working on making the fentanyl and distributing up into the United States,” Ernst said. “I think that the Chinese are intentionally poisoning America. And of course, the Chinese don’t want to assist us with this.”

“When we see an adversary like China poisoning our communities, it’s very disconcerting,” she added. “So we have to educate the American people. We have to work with our Mexican counterparts to push back against the cartel and the Chinese. We can’t continue to lose our youth to this fentanyl epidemic. It is extremely important that we push back.”

In recent years, the Chinese government has been under increasing pressure from the international community to crack down on the production and export of fentanyl. Still, so far, it has failed to take any action.

The production of fentanyl in China is a major problem for the United States and other countries worldwide.

The drug is cheap and easy to produce, making it an attractive option for drug traffickers looking to make a quick profit. It is also highly potent, meaning that just a small amount can cause significant harm.

The Fentanyl Crisis in Los Angeles: A Growing Epidemic

The fentanyl crisis in the United States is not only a national problem but also a local one, particularly in Los Angeles, as The Daily Fetched reported last year.

A recent study by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has found that fentanyl overdose deaths have skyrocketed by 1,280% over the past five years in the city.

The study found that the highest number of fentanyl-related deaths occurred among adults aged 26 to 39 who live in affluent areas. This was followed by the age range of 40 to 64. The study also found that white residents accounted for the largest number of fentanyl overdose deaths, followed by Latino, Black, and Asian residents.

However, when ethnic groups were broken down and compared to rates per 100,000 people, the report found that black residents had a higher rate of 30%, compared to 22% for white residents.

The report highlights the alarming trend of fentanyl use in Los Angeles and the need for immediate action to address the crisis.

“Even a tiny amount of fentanyl can cause death, especially for those without high tolerance,” the report noted. The study’s findings serve as a wake-up call for the government and communities to address the issue and prevent further loss of life.
