Representative Dan Goldman, a Democrat, called for former President Donald Trump to be “eliminated” during an interview on MSNBC with Jen Psaki on Monday.
While discussing Trump’s ongoing legal challenges, Goldman claimed Trump is getting more “dangerous” and “cannot hold public office again.”
“His rhetoric is really getting dangerous, more and more dangerous,” Goldman said.
“Now, and his recent True Social post, it’s incredibly, incredibly scary for anyone that might be trying to work in government.”
“It is just unquestionable at this point that that man cannot see public office again.”
“He is not only unfit; he is destructive to our democracy, and he has to be eliminated,” Goldman boldly said of Trump.

Like many other anti-Trump Democrats, Goldman is projecting, if anything, he is the one peddling “dangerous rhetoric.”

The longtime Trump critic and former federal prosecutor, Goldman gained recognition as the lead counsel during the partisan impeachment trial against Trump.
Goldman was thrust into the spotlight during the high-profile case.
The overreach alleged Trump improperly solicited foreign interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential election from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Senate ultimately acquitted Trump in February 2020.
MSNBC has become a go-to platform for Democrats calling for Trump to be thrown in jail
Earlier this year, MSNBC columnist and radio host Dean Obeidallah said President Donald Trump “must die in prison” to send a message to the public that “you can’t do this.”
“I think Donald Trump must die in prison because I don’t care if he was 45 years old,” the far-left radio host said in a recent interview with a Mediaite reporter.
“You should get life in prison if you attempt a coup, and there should be no chance of parole. I don’t care who it is,” he said.
Dean Obeidallah said Trump should spend the end of life in prison for daring to challenge the 2020 election.
“That’s why I think Donald Trump or anyone else who commits a coup must die in jail, because either we’re going to protect the democratic republic, or we’re going to allow people, in this case, Trump, to chip away at our democracy and chip away at what we believe in these institutions,” he argued.
“That’s why I’m so passionate about, like with every fiber of my being, that Donald Trump has to live out his natural days, his last days of natural life, in a prison cell,” he said.
