Anti-Trump Republican candidate and “swamp monster” Miami Republican Mayor Francis Suarez, who attended the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos last year, has become the first to drop out of the GOP primary race for 2024.
Suarez, who only announced his campaign in June, told supporters that he is suspending his run.
“Running for President of the United States has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” Suarez wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“It was a privilege to come so close to appearing on stage with the other candidates at last week’s first debate.”
“While I have decided to suspend my campaign for President, my commitment to making this a better nation for every American remains,” Suarez wrote.

Besides attending the WEF summit, candidate Suarez suffered a major dent in the GOP race when he began attacking former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
During the pandemic, Suarez blasted DeSantis for dropping masking requirements, arguing the state should have maintained masking requirements.
Suarez blasted Trump and confirmed he didn’t vote for Trump in 2020.
His stance made him the odd man out as far as most Republican voters are concerned.
Suarez has no reaction from the beginning, so it’s hardly surprising he dropped out.
