Senator Josh Hawley said the Biden administration has no intention of fixing the border crisis and is deliberately forcing the “collapse of the immigration system,” adding they want “chaos” at the border.
“I think the plan is exactly what you’re seeing; they want the chaos,” Hawley told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
“The plan is to try to collapse our immigration system completely, collapse the courts collapse the asylum process, overrun the border,” Hawley said of the Biden admin.
“That is the plan. That’s what they want. They want the chaos,” The Senator charged.
“If you thought the fentanyl problem in this country is bad,” he added.
“You thought it was bad in my state, where it’s the number one cause of death in the state of Missouri for young people. Just wait because they are about to turn it on full throttle.”
“The drugs that will come across this border, the crime that will come across this border, the danger to our families and our communities, it’s going to be unlike anything we’ve ever seen in terms of border crossings in our country’s history.”
“It already is, and they haven’t even lifted title 42 yet,” Hawley continued.
“They want the immigration system to collapse because the Democrat Party’s base now flies around and jets and conferences in Davos and are a bunch of globalists who want to drive down the price of labor in America.”
“They want to drive down wages for blue-collar workers in America. They want to do the bidding of the global multinationals. That’s who runs the Democrat Party today,” Hawley asserted.
The border has become critical as floods of illegal immigrants cross into the U.S. following the expiration of Title 42.
The news comes after House Majority Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota called for Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to be impeached for putting Americans at risk.
“It’s not a failure to act — it’s an intentional failure to act. Mayorkas should be impeached,” Emmer said in an interview.
The Republican said Mayorkas and Biden’s open-door policies put Americans and migrants in grave danger.
“They talk about being humane. Children are disappearing,” Emmer said.
“People are getting killed,” he added.
Meanwhile, Sen. Ted Cruz said during his trip to the e U.S.-Mexico border, “We are witnessing an absolute travesty unfolding on our southern border,” Cruz told reporters Thursday evening.
“On Monday, we apprehended over 10,000 people on the border, the highest level in history. On Tuesday, we apprehended over 10,000 people on the border, again, the highest level in history,” he said.
“There are, right now where we’re standing, more than 22,000 people camped just south of the border, getting ready to come across just in this location,” Cruz added.
