Rapper Sexyy Red found herself caught up in a sex-tape scandal a little over 24 hours after expressing support for former President Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, the singer voiced support for Trump during an interview with Theo Von on his podcast, adding that those who “live in the hood” love Trump.
“I like Trump! Yeah, they support him in the hood,” Sexyy Red began.
“‘Cause at first, I don’t think people was f**kin’ with him.”
“Like, they thought he was racist, saying little shit, and, you know, against women,” the singer added.
“But once he start getting black people out of jail and giving people their free money…oh baby we love Trump,” she added.
“We need him back in office,” she said.
“Yeah, a little bit of free money goes a long way,” Theo Von agreed.

Red, whose real name is Janae Nierah Wherry, faced immediate backlash on social media for her pro-Trump comments.
Sexyy Red was then hit with a sex-tape scandal hours after supporting Trump.
Sexyy Red told her followers how heartbroken she is over the video’s release, implying it was done against her will.
“I’m so heartbroken anybody that knows me knows I wouldn’t do no goofy s*** like that,” she posted to her 878,000 followers.

One social media user quoted her words and added: “Omg [Oh my god] I thought she did it… now I’m mad for, cause wtf [what the f***].”
“Fren, find out who leaked it & sue for revenge porn. BOOM more racks!!!” a second posted.
A loyal supporter commented:
“GIRLLLLLL WE DONT CARE !!! WE STILL LOVE YOU . MAKE SOME NOISE YALL WTF ??? AHHAAHHAHAHAHAHHA,”
Another supported the star:
“So now that she has confirmed that she didn’t consent to that video being posted, I hope you all take those videos down & stop circulating them!”
The star’s fans commented on how the video could be classed as revenge porn by the individual who posted it.
“This woman was a victim of actual REVENGE PORN and y’all are saying that she deserved it bc [because] ‘that’s her brand’ like y’all are SICK,” one wrote.
“I don’t care what anyone says. You still my favorite female trapper,” a fan posted.
According to The Washington Post, black and Hispanic voters are increasingly shifting support towards Trump leading up to the 2024 election.
Polls also show Trump is performing extremely well among Black and Hispanic voters in head-to-head matchups with Joe Biden.
A recent Premise poll showed Trump has 12% black support to 57% for Joe Biden, with 31% of blacks not sure or unwilling to tell a pollster how they really feel.
