An Obama-appointed federal judge temporarily suspended a law protecting young children from being exposed to drag queen shows and hosting children’s story hours at public libraries.
U.S. District Court Judge Brian Morris ruled that it could ‘disproportionately’ harm the LGBT and Pride community and anyone who “falls outside traditional gender and identity norms.”
Morris also suspended the law because the 15,000 expected attendees of Montana Pride “cannot avoid chilled speech or exposure to potential civil or criminal liability.”
As a result of the decision, Montana Pride attendees will now be able to hold events in public in front of children.
The law attempted to ban children from “sexually oriented” performances like drag queen shows and Pride events taking place where children may be present.
The law also prohibits “Drag Queen Story Hour,” where sexually dressed drag queens read to children in schools or libraries, CNN reported.
Department of Justice spokeswoman Emily Flower hit back at the decision, telling Politico:
“We look forward to presenting our written response and full argument at the upcoming preliminary injunction hearing to defend the law and protect minors from sexually oriented performances.”
Montana Pride organizers responded on Facebook Friday, saying, “In case you were wondering, EVERY EVENT IS HAPPENING!!”
Knudsen’s spokesperson, Emily Flower, told CNN in a statement Friday:
“We look forward to presenting our written response and full argument at the upcoming preliminary injunction hearing to defend the law and protect minors from sexually oriented performances.”
The news comes almost two months after Matt Gaetz got a planned “child-friendly” drag queen show on Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada canceled.

Democrats are simply child abusing pedophiles.
The sheriffs in Montana should arrest every indecent exposure they find at these evil events. Then arrest the adult who takes the child to the event for child endangerment. Prosecute everyone with no leniency. Send a message to the devil. This will not be tolerated.
