Democratic Governor of New York Kathy Hochul has deployed the National Guard to help illegal immigrants currently flooding the city fill out paperwork to get housing and jobs.
The liberal Governor will send in 150 additional National Guard members, at the taxpayer’s expense, to assist migrants in filling out paperwork to get jobs and housing.
According to a release on Hochul’s official website, the National Guard will “file the appropriate paperwork to attain legal work status and exit taxpayer-funded shelters.”
Meanwhile, a further 1,900 Guard members are working to assist migrants across the state, the release added.
The Guard members will help migrants, many of whom cannot speak English, to find housing and jobs, the New York Post reported.
Hochul reasoning for deploying the National Guard was for a “quick exit out of the shelter system.”
“Give them what they want,” Hochul declared.
However, some did not agree with Hochul’s use of the Guard.
U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York said the governor “must stop wasting resources.”

But she's not calling in the National Guard to deport these people– she's calling them in to support case management operations meant to get…
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. You wanted sanctuary city status and you got it. Real life is a lot different than a virtue signal isn't it NY.

The news comes just days after a Korean War veteran was ordered to leave his Staten Island nursing home in the city to make way for migrants.
Frank Tammaro, a 95-year-old war veteran, was given just six weeks to leave the Island Shores Senior Residence.
The eviction news sparked anger across the city while protests raged outside the facility where the elderly veteran was thrown out.
Over 113,000 illegals have flooded New York City, with many being shipped to Upstate New York communities, while the city is still housing some 60,000.
Last month, New York City Mayor Eric Adams accused Joe Biden of destroying New York City with his migrant crisis.
“The city is being destroyed by the migrant crisis,” Adams said.
The Mayor also blasted New York City officials for not fighting hard enough to get federal resources to the area.
Adams also warned the cost could balloon to $ 15 billion over three years, noting that meals for senior citizens and daycare are at risk.
The Mayor has now desperately turned to various city landmarks for makeshift shelters and temporary housing as short-term solutions for the migrants.
Meanwhile, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said New York City is simply facing the grim reality that has been impacting Texas communities.
“What you’re dealing with in New York, what you are seeing and witnessing in this state, is a tiny fraction of what’s happening every single day in the state of Texas,” Abbott said.
“It is all carefully, choreographically designed policy put in place by the current president of the United States of America.
“This is unsustainable, and those are the words of your Mayor. Those are the words of the mayors of Chicago and Los Angeles,” Abbot added.
“Those are the words of the Governor of Texas. What’s going on is unsustainable. It’s a crisis that’s chaotic and must stop,” Abbott said.
