If the events surrounding the attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, weren’t weird enough, the former House Speaker performed an exorcism at her house following the incident.
Paul Pelosi was injured during a ‘hammer’ incident with David DePape, which involved both men being in their underwear. DePape miraculously avoided detection by the Secret Service guard to get into the house.
During an interview with the New York Times, Nancy Pelosi said her party had yet to satisfactorily deal with the crime issue before the midterm elections.
“That is an issue that had to be dealt with early on, not 10 days before the election. The governor didn’t realize soon enough where the trouble was,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi then said the attack on her husband was meant to harm her, saying:
“The fact that they were after me and then they hit him. He’s a strong person, athletic.”
“This has been tough. It’s going to be about three or four more months before he’s really back to normal,” Pelosi said.
Although Pelosi didn’t mention the exorcism story, her daughter, Alexandra, did, with the New York Times reporting that “Alexandra, always the id to her mother’s superego, was more blunt.”
Speaking about the attack and exorcism, she said:
“I think that weighed really heavy on her soul. I think she felt really guilty. I think that really broke her.”

“Over Thanksgiving, she had priests coming, trying to have an exorcism of the house and having prayer services,” Pelosi’s daughter added.
Fox News Digital gave the official version of what apparently happened during the attack:
San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said that DePape entered Pelosi’s San Francisco house during the early morning hours of Oct. 28 through a rear glass door and went into a bedroom where Paul Pelosi was sleeping. Paul Pelosi attempted to use a phone in the in-home elevator, but Jenkins said that DePape blocked him from doing so.
Paul Pelosi eventually escaped to a bathroom and dialed 911, Jenkins said.
Once police arrived at the residence, officers observed Paul Pelosi and DePape struggling over a hammer. When officers told the men to drop the hammer, DePape began attacking Paul Pelosi, according to San Francisco police.
In the aftermath of the attack, rumors began swirling that DePape and Paul Pelosi were involved in some sexual tryst, which added more weight to why DePape was able to get into the Pelosi residence curcumbent Secret Service.
