MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace appeared unable to contain her excitement while discussing President Donald Trump making his way to a notoriously violent Atlanta jail for his booking.
Wallace gleefully described the jail’s history of stabbings and fatalities, where the former president would be booked.
Trump was booked into the Fulton County jail on Thursday after an indictment by District Attorney Fani Willis over alleged interference in the 2020 election.
“Just a few minutes ago, Donald Trump, the disgraced ex-president, the frontrunner for the Republican nominee for president, four times indicted, departed his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. He’s en route to Fulton County, Georgia,” the MSNBC host said, as footage showed the Trump motorcade en route to Newark’s airport before heading to the jail.
Wallace, who is anti-Trump, elaborated on the jail’s conditions.
“He will surrender himself for processing at an overcrowded jail with a reputation for violence and neglect,” Wallace continued.
“A jail that is accustomed to holding defendants facing charges up to and including violent crimes, where stabbings are frequent, and actually three people have lost their lives over the last month.”
“That jail is where the disgraced ex-president of these United States is heading right now,” Wallace remarked.
Watch
Wallace has been an ardent supporter of the Russiagate hoax, accused the Trump administration of severe human rights violations, and praised Anthony Fauci.
It’s no surprise Wallace’s comments about Trump’s jail booking would be any different from previous attacks on the former president.
However, her comments angered many in conservative circles.
Trump detailed the “terrible experience” of being booked at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta on Thursday.
“I never heard the words’ mug shot.’ They didn’t teach me that the Wharton School of Finance,” Trump told Newsmax host Greg Kelly.
“It’s a very sad experience, and it’s a very sad day for our country. This is a weaponized Justice Department,” he added.
“It’s just like one thing after the next. And what they want to do is they want to try and wear you out … just an absolutely horrible thing that they’re doing.,” Trump said.
“And I’ve never seen anything like it. This is Third World country,” Trump added.
