Morbidly obese Republican presidential hopeful Chris Christie claims he could kick President Donald Trump’s ass.
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Christie said Trump is “78 years old” (he’s actually 77), adding he could “kick his ass.”
Christie, who is practically at statistically zero for the Republican presidential nomination, claimed he could “fight Donald Trump anywhere he wants, in any arena he wants, whether it’s on a debate stage or in the Octagon.”
After Christie claimed he could kick Trump’s ass, he also complained about Trump making fun of his size, admitting he had “struggled with [his] weight” for 30 years.
He also accused Trump of being “a child, an infant [to] make that kind of remarks” before going on to attack Trump’s physique.
Maybe nobody is interested in Christie because he has presented himself as explicitly anti-Trump.
Trump has a massive unshakable base, and for someone to come into the race within the field dominated by the former president is not just suicide; it’s strategically dumb.
Last month, Trump said Christie has “ZERO chance” in the 2024 Republican primary race.
“It will be a race to see who will be the first to get to 1% in the Republican Primary,” Trump began.
“Sloppy Chris Christie, who had a 9% approval rating when he was Governor of New Jersey, or the little-known (for a reason!) Governor of New Hampshire, Chris Sununu, who is 30 points down to me in his own State, and never lifts a finger to help anybody but himself,” he said, adding that potential challengers are “wasting their time and money, they have ZERO chance!”
In June, Christie declared that the United States must continue sending money to Ukraine for arms until they win the war against Russia.
“I don’t know what President Trump is thinking about this except that he has been a puppet of Putin since the time he was president,” Christie said.
“I think it’s very clear what we need to do. We need to give the Ukrainians every piece of military hardware they need to protect themselves against this aggression, and we need to continue to do it until they are ready to resolve the conflict in Russia.”
