Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) demanded a full audit of the billions of dollars in aid sent to Ukraine under the Biden administration.
Appearing on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Greene noted that not all Republicans favor Biden’s provision of endless buckets of money being sent to Ukraine.
“You seem to be fighting, still a year later, a pretty lonely battle on the Republican side to wake up your own party to what they’re supporting, which is Joe Biden’s chief and craziest policy aim,” Tucker said.
Rep. MTG responded, “Well, it doesn’t feel very lonely from my standpoint, Tucker. You know, we just heard Mike McCaul, one of my colleagues in Congress, talk about bipartisan support for this war against Russia in Ukraine.”
She went on to say she is reintroducing a bill that would require a full audit of the billions of dollars of taxpayer money being sent to Ukraine.

MTG said the bill would ” force Congress to give the American people an audit. And that is exactly what the American people need, an audit of Ukraine because we have no idea where all this money’s going.”
Although the bill previously failed in the House, Greene said the outcome would be different because “I’m introducing this resolution, and I’m looking forward to seeing my Republican colleagues support it.”
She also accused the Biden administration of being “so disconnected with what the American people want that they are literally going to lead us into World War III.”
“There’s not bipartisan support among the American people for fighting a war in Ukraine that does nothing for Americans except force them to pay for it,” Greene added.
On Thursday, a Fox News poll revealed 50 percent of Americans believe the U.S. should support Ukraine “as long as it takes” to win the war against Russia, while 46 percent believe there should be a limited time frame.
As The Hill noted, Republicans in the poll were more likely to say there should be a limit to U.S. support, with 61 percent saying there should be an end in sight. Sixty-six percent of Democrats said aid should continue for the remainder of the war.
House Republicans, including Greene, have previously suggested that they plan to rein in aid to Ukraine. Ahead of the midterm elections in November, Greene promised that “not another penny will go to Ukraine” in a GOP majority.
A day after MTG’s appearance on Tucker, the Biden White House announced yet more aid for Ukraine:
Today, the Department of Defense (DoD) announced an additional security assistance package for Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI). These capabilities include several new Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) equipment to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses and help protect its people, and electronic warfare detection equipment to bolster Ukraine’s ability to repel Russia’s aggression. The package also includes a large amount of ammunition for 155mm artillery systems and High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) that have proved so effective on the battlefield, as well as mine clearing equipment and secure communications support equipment.
