Former Congresswoman Liz Cheney took to X to express her disapproval of Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) taking a stand to decry the proceedings against Trump in his hush money trial as “election interference.”
In a sharp rebuke, Cheney wrote:
“Have to admit I’m surprised that @SpeakerJohnson wants to be in the ‘I cheated on my wife with a porn star’ club.”
“I guess he’s not that concerned with teaching morality to our young people after all.”
However, Cheney’s tweet garnered a brutal response.
Newsmax host Rob Schmitt was first to fire back, ridiculing Cheney’s moral stance:”
Lessons in Morality… from a Cheney lol.”
