Not long after Florida lawmakers passed the bill that would enact the death penalty for convicted pedophiles, some liberals took to Twitter for a complete meltdown.
On Thursday, the Florida House passed HB1297 by a 95-14 vote.
The Florida legislation will allow the execution of child abusers who rape children under the age of 12 without jury unanimity.
This means the approval of only eight jurors out of 12 would be required for capital punishment to go ahead.
Rep. Jessica Baker, who sponsored the bill, said, “The rape of a child is a deliberate, methodical act,” adding, “It doesn’t happen accidentally.”
One Twitter wondered who on earth would oppose the Florida bill for enacting the death penalty for pedophiles.

DeSantis said capital punishment should be brought back for child sex offenders but noted that it would require the Supreme Court to reverse its decision on using the death penalty.
“They said the Constitution does not allow capital punishment for anything short of a homicide,” DeSantis began.
“The problem with that you have some of these sex predators that will abuse these very very young children, do it habitually, and I’m just thinking to myself, you’re ruining those kids’ lives– those are innocent kids,” he added.
