President Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech on Tuesday was painful to watch, and also for some in the joint session of Congress he was addressing it seems.
Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s facial expressions during Biden’s speech reflected what many of us felt.
While McCarthy did not invoke Nancy Pelosi by “tearing up speeches,” he did not bother hiding how bored he was.
During the tail end of this clip, after sleepy Joe began rambling about “manufacturing” and “infrastructure,” McCathy’s boredom was obvious.

After what appeared to be an involuntary eye-roll, McCarthy began slow-clapping as Kamala Harris sprang up to clap herself into oblivion.
One Twitter user posted a screenshot noting, “McCarthy is all of us right now.”
“McCarthy’s facial expressions are gold,” former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis also tweeted.
New York Post’s Miranda Divine tweeted, “McCarthy’s face is priceless.”
Meanwhile, Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema appeared bored by Biden’s address that she was checking her phone.
