Kari Lake appeared to take a shot at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis following his statement regarding Donald Trump’s indictment.
On Thursday, Lake tweeted:
“If your consultants are going to write a statement about President Trump being indicted, please make sure they have the decency to use his name.”

While Kari Lake didn’t call out DeSantis by name reffering to his statement on the indictment, it what obvious who it was meant for.
She also made a point by not mentioning the Florida governor’s name in the tweet.
Ron DeSantis issued a statement following the indictment of President Trump by a Manhattan grand jury.
“Florida will Not Assist in an Extradition Request” DeSantis Statement on Trump Indictment.
The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head.

It is un-American.
The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is…
DeSantis may not have used Trump’s name to avoid giving him more favorability due to the fact media attacks on Trump are only making him more popular.
Lake also tweeted a meme of Trump laughing at the newspapers for their backfired attempts to smear him and derail his campaign.

He likely did not mention President Trump because the negative media coverage continues to help Trump’s favorability.
Earlier this month, DeSantis took a swipe at Trump after responding to reports that DA Braggs was planning on arresting him.
The Florida governor has been sinking in the polls ever since.
DeSantis’s short reposne to Trump’s indictment was in contrast to Kari Lake’s, who wrote a whole page defending “the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump,”
“You want to beat President Donald Trump? Get more votes than him in November 2024… I unequivocally stand beside President Donald J. Trump and in defense of the rule of law,” said Lake.
