Kari Lake ripped Ron DeSantis on Tuesday, saying the Florida Governor has no chance of beating former President Donald Trump because he can’t even beat Donald Duck.
Lake swiped at DeSantis’s inflated presidential ambitions against Trump and his ongoing war with Disney.
DeSantis is facing growing criticism for going up against Trump, with some arguing he is now neglecting his own state in the process.
Trump also blasted DeSantis for being “outplayed, outsmarted, and embarrassed by Mickey Mouse.”
Reuters reported that DeSantis would announce his candidacy during a Twitter interview with CEO Elon Musk.
During an interview with Newsmax host Eric Bolling on Tuesday, Kari Lake said that the war DeSantis is waging on Disney and so-called “woke” politics was “a worthy cause,” but he does not have what it takes to go up against Trump.
“When you pick a fight with Disney, you need to play to win,” Lake said.
“And so far, Governor DeSantis has been outworked and outmaneuvered by Disney … You know, if you can’t beat Donald Duck, how are you going to beat Donald Trump?”
“I think that’s the question we have to ask when it comes to Governor DeSantis,” she added. “I think he should stay in Florida … I’d rather see President Trump, who’s a deal-maker, who can make things happen, take on woke corporations.”

Separately, the poll found Biden and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) deadlocked in a tie when those surveyed were asked who they preferred in a head-to-head matchup.
The results coupled together point to the apparent strength of Trump in the GOP primary as DeSantis gets set to enter the race as early as next week. Trump had led DeSantis in a number of polls of GOP voters by double digits.
