Vice President Kamala Harris warned that if former president Donald Trump takes back the White House, he will weaponize the Department of Justice against his enemies.
The statement is nothing more than pure projection, as this is exactly what the Biden administration is doing to Trump right now.
Speaking to a crowd of supporters at a campaign event in Denver Tuesday, Harris said:
“This state is so important.”
“Colorado is so important, and you will be part of deciding the future of our country.”
Harris also said the bipartisan border security bill hasn’t passed because Trump told House Republicans to reject the legislation.
“If he is reelected, the former president has openly vowed to carry out, quote, ‘the largest domestic deportation operation in American History,'” Harris said.
“And that is not all: If he is reelected, the former president has openly said he intends to weaponize the Department of Justice against his enemies.”

Last month, Harris made similar remarks in South Carolina, claiming Trump would “weaponize the Justice Department” if he won back the White House in 2024.
“Former President Trump has made clear time and time again, his fight is not for the people,” Harris said.
“He fights for himself.”

Harris’ remarks came just a week after the U.S. Supreme Court stated cannot ban Trump from the ballot, overturning a decision from Colorado’s top court.
The Colorado Supreme Court determined that Trump was ineligible for the presidency in December due to his “conduct” regarding Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
The also comes after reports Harris will hold a public event on marijuana reform featuring Grammy-nominated artist Fat Joe, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and individuals who received pardons for prior cannabis convictions.
