Race-baiting MSNBC anchor Joy Reid accused right-wing conservatives of “raging a nationwide crusade against transgender people” in the wake of the Nashville school shooting.
During Wednesday’s edition of “The ReidOut,” Reid said the transgender community in Tennessee is already under siege, calling conservatives “dangerous and evil” for calling out the trans shooter.
“There is still a lot we don’t know about Monday’s deadly and horrific shooting at a Nashville Christian school,” Joy Reid began.
“But after the pole said the suspect was transgender, one thing is clear, Tennessee’s all ready under siege transgender community is terrified,” the host said.
“One advocate told NBC News, ‘We are already fearing for our lives. Now it is even worse.’ The right-wing moral panic over transgender people living their lives or seeking medical care or simply existing obviously predates the Nashville massacre, but some on the right are linking their raging nationwide crusade against transgender people in ways that are just dangerous and evil,” Reid added.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson said this on Tuesday:
“The trans movement is targeting Christians, including with violence. Most Christian leaders in this country don’t want to admit that. Admitting it might force them to take deeply unfashionable positions.”
Reid continued:
“There are statistics that show violence against transgender people was already high. Two and a half times more likely to be victims of violence than cisgender people.”
“From 2017 to 2021, the number of trans people murdered more than doubled. 73 % have been killed with a gun, and yet we are now seeing the moral panic over trans people shifted to this Nashville massacre,” Reid added.
Watch
While Joy Reid claims transgender people are under attack, she failed to note that just weeks prior to the Nashville shooting, Jane Fonda called for the murder of Christian pro-lifers during an appearance on ABC’s “The View.”
Fonda’s words could be interpreted as a violent ‘call to arms’ against Christian conservatives. Still, leftist media remained largely silent following Fonda’s words.
Here is a reminder of what Fonda said during the show:
“Besides marching and protesting, what else do you suggest?” Joy Behar queried.
“MURDER.” – Jane Fonda said.
“What did you say?” Lily Tomlin asked.
“MURDER!” Fonda replied.
The news comes on the heels of reports of Twitter suspending top conservative accounts that pointed out the Nashville shooter was transgender.
