Republican Senator Josh Hawley accused the Administration is facilitating the largest child trafficking ring in American history, exposing how masses of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) are being sold into sex slavery after they are released into the country.
Josh Hawley grilled Robin Dunn Marcos, the director for the Office of Refugee Resettlement, noting how child trafficking had skyrocketed under Joe Biden.
This comes amid reports that the Department of Health and Human Services lost contact with at least 85,000 children after they were released to ‘adult sponsors.’
“How many kids, right now, of the 430,000 approximately unaccompanied children who have crossed the border under this administration — it’s an astounding number — how many are you in regular contact with right now?” Hawley asked the official.
Marcos initially tried to skirt around the answer before saying, “I don’t have the specific number.”
“How can you not know?” Hawley asked, seemingly astounded.
“Why would you come to this hearing and not know?” Hawley pressed Marcos.
The Senator continued:
“Respectfully, I would like you to do your job and not release children to human traffickers.”
“Respectfully, that’s what I would like,” Hawley said.
“I would like you to not facilitate the largest child trafficking ring in American history,” Hawley said.
Marcos failed to explain how many background checks are conducted on so-called adult sponsors.
“Do you do home visits in these cases where you can actually see where these children are being released, whose care you’re putting them in?” Hawley asked.
Marcos responded:
“We do not do home visits in all cases.”
“Do you really think that you are helping these children by releasing them to labor traffickers and, yes, sex traffickers?” Hawley further noted.
Hawley added that “85,000 children whom you have no contact with and your answer is—we gave them a presentation before we turned them over to these people who are exploiting them on a scale not seen in this country for 100 years.”

In September, Donald Trump vowed to reinstate Title 42 and end child trafficking if he is elected President in 2024.
“I will use Title 42 to end the child-trafficking crisis by returning all trafficked children to their families, in their home countries, immediately,” Trump told the crowd.
The 45th President continued:
“And as Jim Caviezel – who’s a great guy, you know who he is? – In the movie Sound of Freedom, he said, ‘God’s children are not for sale.”
In the same month, former Homeland Security agent and the inspiration for anti-child trafficking blockbuster Sound of Freedom, Tim Ballard, demanded the Biden administration tell him where the 85,000 missing migrant children had gone.

Ballard slammed Biden for the missing children and called for them to have the same protection as an American child found wandering alone in a major US city, protecting them from child trafficking.
Ballard also noted that vulnerable children are more at risk for child trafficking because it is the “number-one country in consuming child-exploitation material.”
“So my question for this Administration: Why will you not at the very least give these foreign children that same protection? You’re giving them no protection, hardly any at all. In fact, what you’re giving them is a joke,” he said
Since 2021, around 345,000 unaccompanied minors have crossed the border, according to US Customs and Border Protection figures.
Out of those numbers, around 85,000 have lost contact with federal officials, putting them at risk of sex trafficking, exploitation, and abuse.
“The Biden Administration must be held accountable for its failed open border policies that have put tens of thousands of children in grave danger and at great risk of death, child sexual exploitation and abuse,” Smith said in a statement.
