President Joe Biden responded to the news that his son, Hunter Biden, may be facing federal charges from the Department of Justice, affirming “my son’s done nothing wrong,” adding the situation “impacts my presidency by making me feel proud of him.”
During an interview with MSNBC on Friday’s “The 11th Hour broadcast,” Host Stephanie Ruhle asked, “Sir, there is something personal that’s affecting you. Your son — while there [are] no ties to you — could be charged by your Department of Justice. How will that impact your presidency?”
Biden responded:
“First of all, my son’s done nothing wrong. I trust him. I have faith in him. And it impacts my presidency by making me feel proud of him,” Biden said.
Watch:
Last year, Biden about his son Hunter on his recovery from drug addiction when asked if he could face criminal charges for lying on a gun background check form.
“Well, first of all, I’m proud of my son,” Joe Biden said of Hunter at the time.
Biden’s remarks come days after Senator Chuck Grassley and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer sent letters to Chris Wray and the FBI to produce unclassified documents of a criminal scheme involving Joe Biden and a foreign national.
As The Daily Fetched reported:
The required document is an FBI-generated FD-1023 form allegedly showing a shady arrangement of exchanging money for policy decisions.
Comer issued the subpoena after “legally protected disclosures” to Grassley’s office, The Daily Caller reported.
“We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States,” Grassley said in a statement.
“What we don’t know is what, if anything, the FBI has done to verify these claims or investigate further,” he adds.
“The FBI’s recent history of botching politically charged investigations demands close congressional oversight,” Grassley concluded.
Comer said in his own statement that the “information provided by a whistleblower raises concerns that then-Vice President Biden allegedly engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national.”
“The American people need to know if President Biden sold out the United States of America to make money for himself. Senator Grassley and I will seek the truth to ensure accountability for the American people,” Comer continued.
“The American people need to know if President Biden sold out the United States of America to make money for himself. Senator Grassley and I will seek the truth to ensure accountability for the American people,” Comer continued.
The form allegedly details an ‘arrangement’ between Biden and an unnamed foreigner for policy decisions in exchange for money.
‘We have received legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures. Based on those disclosures, it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions,’ the senators write.
“It has been alleged that the document includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose.”
As we further reported:
One of the key business associates of Hunter Biden is reportedly cooperating with House Republicans in their investigation into shady deals involving Joe Biden and foreign entities.
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer confirmed Hunter’s business associate is now “cooperating with us,” Just The News reported.
“His attorneys and my counsel are communicating on a regular basis. Now, I feel confident that he’s going to work with us and provide us with the information that we have requested. I think that Schwerwin is going to be a very valuable witness for us in this investigation,” Comer said.
Hunter Biden and his uncle, James Biden, are not reportedly planning to disclose all the information required by Comer’s committee and the House Republicans.
Comer announced his committee would begin issuing subpoenas immediately.
“We know individuals, many are cooperating with us now, but others, not so much,” he said. “We’re going to start subpoenaing people in the private sector; we’re going to start subpoenaing financial institutions to get us the information. And then we’ll go from there.”
