Joe and Jill Biden attended an advance screening of “Wonka” for military service members and their families, which ended in some incoherent rambling from the president.
Biden wandered on stage before rambling for a couple of minutes.
At one point, Joe Biden appeared to be struggling so much Jill Biden whispered in his ear, which we can only imagine was some reminder of what he was meant to be saying.
Then, after an awkward minute of mumbling, Biden blurted out, “I like kids more than people.”
Where have we heard that before?

Joe Biden then beelined toward a 6-year-old girl, and rather than asking her if she was excited to see the ‘Wonka’ film, he promptly asked her if she was 17 years old.
“And I love your ears!” Biden said as he shuffled over to the child.
“I love them! They’re really cool! What’s your name?”
Biden then got in the child’s face and said, “Catherine? That’s my mommy’s name! Well, nice to see you – how old are you? 17?”
“I’m 6,” the little girl responded.
The event was attended by 400 service members and their relatives, who were seated in folding chairs and around wooden, circular tables.
“I mean from the bottom of my heart,” Biden said.
“Family members, you are the heart of this operation.”
Jill Biden talked about Beau’s deployment at the Wonka event, telling the crowd: “I know there are many here who miss their mom or dad or spouse.”
“While nothing can make up for that empty chair at the table, for us, the kindness of our community and finding moments of joy helps make it a little bit easier,” she said.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump was scheduled for a military visit Sunday in Texas.
Trump was in Edinburg after serving meals to National Guard soldiers, troopers, and others stationed at the U.S.-Mexico border over Thanksgiving.
Trump slammed Buden for failing to do more to secure the border, as millions continue to enter the United States illegally under Biden’s watch.
