Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said real Americans are informed and wise enough to know that media reports surrounding the alleged impending arrest of former President Donald Trump are nothing more than a media “sham.”
“God Bless President Trump. Real America knows this is all a sham,” Jordan wrote on Twitter.
On Saturday Trump himself said he expects to be arrested next week based on “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
Trump is being investigated for his alleged role in hush money paid to former porn star Stormy Daniels.
Trump wrote on Truth Social:
“NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”
Meanwhile, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed plans to arrest Trump were a strategy to derail his campaign.
“This is what they do in communist countries,” she stated.
“Republicans in Congress MUST subpoena these communists and END this! We have the power to do it, and we also have the power to DEFUND their salaries and departments! Enough of this!”
Greene also predicted Trump would win a “landslide victory” if they do arrest him.
“If they indict President Trump on fake charges, to go after him to try to stop the movement that they cannot stop, he is going to win 2024 in a landslide victory and then we’ll put him in the White House and he will finish what he started,” Greene told Lindell TV.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk also predicted Trump will win the 2024 election in a “landslide” if he is arrested.
