Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán warned the European Union is creating an “Orwellian world” in front of our eyes.
Orbán highlighted how the EU promoted war via a facility meant to keep the world stable and out of conflict, according to Remix News.
“Brussels is creating an Orwellian world in front of our eyes,” wrote the Hungarian PM.
They buy and supply weapons through the #EuropeanPeaceFacility,” he added.
“They want to control the media through the #MediaFreedomAct. We didn’t fight the communists to end up in 1984!” he said.
The PM referred to the European Peace Facility, responsible for sending billions in weapons to Ukrainian forces.
Orbán said the move has only extended the war, resulting in the deaths of thousands of Ukrainians.

As the European Peace Facility’s own website states:
“On 26 June 2023, the Council adopted a decision to increase the overall financial ceiling of the European Peace Facility (EPF) by €4.061 billion (in current prices, or €3.5 billion in 2018 prices). The overall financial ceiling now totals more than €12 billion (in current prices).”
Last month, Orbá told Tucker Carlson that the current conflict in Ukraine has a “3rd world war is knocking at the door.”
“It is not just a misunderstanding; it is a lie,” Orban said when asked why the American media reported that ‘Ukraine is winning’ the war.
He also said the Biden administration misunderstands Russia, and their attempt to remove it could lead to dangerous instability.
“To understand the Russians, it’s a difficult thing, especially if you have an ocean between you and Russia.”
Orbán went on to warn of the dangerous implications of the US strategy
“Don’t misunderstand the Russians,” he said.
“So they’re not going to get sick of Putin and throw him out; come on, it’s a joke.”
Orban also voiced his public support for President Donald Trump, saying he was the only person who could top the war.
The Hungarian PM also urged Trump to “keep on fighting” following his indictments.
Orban posted a picture of him and Trump together on Twitter, where they were photographed at a meeting at the former president’s Bedminster, New Jersey, last year.
The Hungarian Conservative leader was visiting the US for a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Texas.
“Keep on fighting, Mr. President! We are with you,” Orban wrote in the tweet on Monday in support of Trump following his indictment.
Orban was the first European national leader to endorse Trump’s presidential candidacy in 2016.
The Hungarian leader also voiced his support for Trump’s 2020 campaign
