Hollywood mogul and Democratic donor Jeffrey Katzenberg has pledged to deliver “all the resources” that Joe Biden needs to Beat Donald Trump in 2024
Katzenberg, who is Biden’s campaign co-chair, told the Financial Times he is “confident” the campaign can raise more than it received in the 2020 race, which was over $1 billion.
Katzenberg’s remarks came after ABC/Washington Post poll showed Trump leading Biden by seven points in a general election rematch.
“For us, this is about a 19-month marathon; it’s not a sprint,” Katzenberg told the FT.
“The excitement and enthusiasm level since he’s announced, certainly from the high-end donors I’ve been in touch with, has been very, very high,” the Hollywood Democratic donor said of Biden.
“The president has shown that he’s 80 years young and brings with him the wisdom and knowledge, and experience that he has shown during the past two years. He is fit and engaged and has a high level of energy.”
Biden is facing growing concerns about his s cognitive decline, which has become more evident in his frequent ramblings and gaffes.
According to a Gallup survey, Biden’s record-low approval rating is 37 percent.
Meanwhile, his administration faces fire for failing to deal with the wide-open U.S.-Mexico border, runaway inflation, and increasingly belligerent China.
