Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton responded to the stalled Senate aid bill that funds foreign countries like Ukraine while ignoring the U.S. border crisis by attacking Donald Trump.
Earlier in February, Republicans voted against advancing a compromised ‘border security bill’ that would have sent more money to foreign countries.
The Senate’s national security supplemental package, amounting a whopping $118.28 billion, allocated $60 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
However, just $20.23 billion was allocated to secure the U.S. border despite millions of unchecked illegal migrants, mostly military-age males from the Middle East, pouring into the U.S.
Not long after the bill failed to pass the Senate, Schumer rolled out another supplemental aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
On Tuesday, the Senate passed Schumer’s supplemental aid package, allocating $95 billion to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
22 Republicans voted in favor of sending more money to foreign countries money while ignoring the crisis at the U.S. border.
However, the $95 billion package died after Speaker Johnson shut it down.
Earlier in the week, Schumer warned that if Congress doesn’t pass the border security bill, it would mean the U.S. will likely head into a full-blown war with Russia.
“If we don’t aid Ukraine, Putin will walk all over Ukraine, we will lose the war, and we could be fighting in Eastern Europe as a NATO ally in a few years.”
“This bill is crucial, and history will look back on it and say, ‘did America fail itself?'” Schumer continued.
Schumer added:
“Too many Republicans, including Speaker Johnson, are just scared to death of Donald Trump. Donald Trump has said he wants chaos.”
“Donald Trump has said, ‘Well wait until I become president,’ that’ll take at least a year. Ukraine could be gone.”
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton began blaming Trump, calling him a “wannabe dictator” and claiming he is “enamored of Putin.”
“If this [foreign aid] bill from the Senate were ever put on the floor of the House, it would pass… overwhelmingly,” Hillary Clinton said.
Clinton added that House Republicans “are not doing America’s business, they’re doing Donald Trump’s business… He’s a wannabe dictator.
“Why is Donald Trump so enamored of Putin?” Hillary Clinton said.
