Twice failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was torched on X after posting remarks on the Barbie movie controversy after it received zero Oscar nominations in key categories.
The movie was intended to be a feminist flick, but due to controversy, it ended up making Ken the most interesting character.
Even though the movie received eight Oscar nominations, director Greta Gerwig and lead actress Margot Robbie didn’t receive any.
This led to fans complaining online that the pair was entitled to be honored because they were “women.”
But perhaps the most embarrassing reaction came from Hillary Clinton, who inserted herself into the drama because, well, she’s a woman.
“Greta & Margot,” Clinton wrote on X.
“While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you. You’re both so much more than Kenough.”

While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you.

Clinton even added the hashtag: “#HillaryBarbie.”
Clinton also took a whooping from left-wing Huffington Post, who wrote that her remarks were out of place.
“Although it made sense for Barbie star Ryan Gosling to make a public stink about his colleagues’ snubs, the same can’t be said of a politician with zero ties to the film,” the outlet wrote.
Reactions:
I actually love how narcissistic this is, like inserting herself into this scenario with no pretext. And the hashtag 10/10 no notes #hillarybarbie https://t.co/RiFc2Z0J1C

What a coincidence, didn't you buy a few Barbie dolls for some of the kids your husband molested?

Robbie’s co-star Ryan Gosling snapped up the Best Supporting Actor nomination for his performance as Ken, while America Ferrera received a nod for Best Supporting Actress.
The two actors appeared to share Clinton’s sentiments:
“I am extremely honored to be nominated by my colleagues alongside such remarkable artists in a year of so many great films,” Gosling said.
“And I never thought I’d being saying this, but I’m also incredibly honored and proud that it’s for portraying a plastic doll named Ken. But there is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film.”
