Former New York GOP Rep Lee Zeldin has predicted former President Donald Trump will likely become the 47th president following Thursday’s indictment.
“The greatest irony about the justice system being weaponized to take down a political opponent is that, as a result, the odds this evening have only gone up that the 45th President of the United States will be elected as the 47th President of the United States,” Zeldin tweeted on Trump.
On Thursday, Trump announced on Truth Social federal prosecutors have indicted him as part of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into his handling of allegedly classified White House documents.
Trump posted:
“Page 1: The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware, additional Boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more Boxes at the University of Pennsylvania, and documents strewn all over his garage floor where he parks his Corvette, and which is “secured” by only a garage door that is paper thin, and open much of the time.”
The former president said he was ordered to appear at the federal courthouse in Miami on Tuesday for the federal criminal proceedings to begin against him.
As we also noted, the Trump indictment would likely galvanize more support for Trump and help his re-election to the White House in 2024.
Earlier this week, judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) asked the DOJ to provide information on the scope of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into the probe of Biden’s classified document probe.
Jordan also requested the full scope of Smith’s investigation into Trump.
Taylor Budowich, a former Trump spokesman who testified recently in front of a grand jury in Miami as part of the documents probe, called the investigation “bogus and deeply troubling.”
He tweeted Wednesday:
“Today, in what can only be described as a bogus and deeply troubling effort to use the power of government to “get” Trump, I fulfilled a legal obligation to testify in front of a federal grand jury, and I answered every question honestly.”
“America has become a sick and broken nation—a decline led by Joe Biden and power-hungry Democrats. I will not be intimidated by this weaponization of government. For me, the need to unite our nation and make America great again has never been more clear than it is today. That starts with re-electing President Donald J. Trump, a purpose I will not be deterred from pursuing.”

Dems will do ANYTHING to stop Trump, they can’t beat him honestly. So make up charges against him. He was already found innocent of any wrong doing. He had the RIGHT to declassify any documentation at will. His right as president.
