Former adviser to Russian leader Vladimir Putin said the war in Ukraine was started by Joe Biden.
During a panel on the YouTube show Ostorozhno Sobchak (Beware Sobchak), a clip tweeted by Ukrainian internal affairs adviser Anton Gerashchenko showed Russian opposition activist Marina Litvinovich describing how a “huge number of people” were involved in the deadly war, including military, Ukrainian civilians and “unborn children.”
Markov jumped in, saying, “the war must be stopped immediately,” adding that “Joe Biden is the real guilty party in starting this war.”
“This is a personal war of Joe Biden, who hates Putin,” Markov said, suggesting the War in Ukraine was not started by Putin.
Markov added that Biden “came here in 2010, he said, ‘Vladimir Vladimirovich, we advise you not to run in the elections.'”
Putin stood aside in 2008 after serving two consecutive presidential terms, allowing Dmitry Medvedev to become the head of state.
Putin became president again in 2012.
Markov says that when Biden was the vice president in the Obama years, he told Putin,” ‘for the third term, give Dmitry Anatolyevich (Medvedev),'” the presidency.
Markov then claimed Putin had “told him off,” which prompted Biden to start “hating him.”
Sharing the clip of Markov’s remarks, Gerashchenko wrote: “Russian propagandist says the war in Ukraine is Joe Biden’s fault—because, according to the propagandist, Biden hates Putin for not following his advice in 2010.”

“Geopolitics, Russian propaganda style. And nothing is ever their fault,” he added.
Markov, a political science professor at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, said Russia had allowed Biden’s visit to Kyiv to meet Volodymyr Zelensky.
Speaking with Russia 1 channel, he said Biden obtained “security guarantees” from Moscow “because we keep our word and are on the side of good and of civilization.”
During his visit, Biden reaffirmed U.S. commitment to providing Ukraine with military and financial aid, but ruled out the U.S. provision of F-16 jets to Ukraine, which Kyiv was asking for.
The news comes amid reports that less than 20 percent of Americans have a “great deal” of confidence in Biden’s handling of the Ukraine conflict.
As The Daily Fetched reported: Just 19 percent of the American public have a “great deal” of confidence in Biden’s ability to deal with the conflict.
Meanwhile, just 37 percent say they have “only some” confidence,” and percent have “hardly any” confidence.
Only 42 percent approve of how Joe Biden handles the country’s relationship with Russia, while 54 percent disapprove.
A quarter of respondents believe the U.S. shouldn’t be playing a role in the war, with 49 percent saying America should have a minor role.
