A leading watchdog group has claimed the FBI is hiding records relating to coordination with the Secret Service during the attempted assassination attempt against former president Donald Trump during his Pennsylvania rally last month.
To protect its ongoing enforcement proceedings surrounding the incident, the e FBI cited FOIA exemption 7(A) after Judicial Watch sent a FOIA request on July 26th asking the FBI to produce all relevant documents concerning its coordination with the Secret Service.
The stonewalling by the FBI has now left more questions as to why there was a delay in taking out Crooks before the shooting unanswered.
“Why is the FBI hiding records on its and the Secret Service’s failures to protect Trump?” asked Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton.
“The Biden-Harris administration is covering up the near assassination of former President Trump.”
“The FBI’s refusal to release these records raises serious concerns,” comments journalist Sharyl Attkisson.
The stories regarding the unanswered questions regarding the attempted Donald Trump assassination appear to have all but disappeared from the media headlines.
Even Search giant Google was caught tweaking its autocomplete algorithm, preventing users from seeing search results of the Trump assassination attempt.
Judiciary Committee Chair Rep. Jim Jordan wrote to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai highlighting the issues.
“The Committee and Select Subcommittee [on the Weaponization of the Federal Government] ‘s oversight has shown how the federal government has coerced or colluded with technology, social media, and other companies, including Alphabet, to moderate content online,” Jordan wrote.
“Recent reporting has indicated that Google may now be interfering in the 2024 presidential election by censoring information about former President Donald Trump’s ongoing campaign for the presidency, including relating to the July 13 assassination attempt on him in Pennsylvania.”
Senator Ron Johnson, who chairs the committee overseeing the investigation into the attempted assassination of Trump, recently warned that the FBI cannot be trusted.
“You know I do not trust the FBI do this investigation, honestly,” Johnson said in response to claims by FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate that the feds had discovere Thomas Crooks comments that espoused “anti-Semitic and anti-immigration themes.”
Further adding to the mystery as to why Crooks was allowed to fire shots at the rally, it was reported last week that his body was cremated just 10 days after the assassination attempt, leading to some suggesting it was part of a larger coverup.
