Twitter CEO Elon Musk expressed his suspicions surrounding the media’s narrative that the Allen Texas mall shooter was a neo-Nazi.
Bellingcat journalist Aric Toler posted a series of Twitter photos of a Russian social media account that reportedly belonged to Allen, Texas, mall shooter Mauricio Garcia.
According to Toler, Garcia’s OK.RU profile has multiple pictures of Nazi symbolism and also references to podcaster Tim Pool and the Libs of TikTok founder.
But Musk questioned Toler’s narrative surrounding the Texas Mall shooter, tweeting, “Didn’t the story come from Bellingcat, which literally specializes in psychological operations?”
Musk continued:
“I don’t want to hurt their feelings, but this is either the weirdest story ever or a very bad psyop!”

Toler’s thread alleged that the shooter was a fan of the founder of Libs of TikTok and Tim Pool.
Twitter account The Redheaded Libertarian also highlighted that it was strange that a neo-Nazi idolized Tim Pool and Libs of TikTok founder Chaya Raichik while being a self-proclaimed centrist.
Musk also thought that was “strange.”
It’s no surprise that Bellingcat has been accused of being supported by US intelligence agencies.
It also fits nicely into the leftist’s narrative to demonize high-profile right-wing persona, cities that often demolish the left’s radical ideology.
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated in 2016, “It’s no secret to anyone, Western journalists write openly that Bellingcat is connected to special services.”
