An elderly woman was brutally beaten and robbed before being left unconscious on a Los Angeles street, a shocking video shows.
The footage, captured by an MTA bus and released by the LAPD, shows the woman, 86, completely knocked out on a sidewalk as people stand nearby.
A man then steps off the bus and even steps over the unconscious woman.
Instead of helping her, the man proceeds to rummage through her purse.
Witnesses nearby can be seen cautiously trying to stop the man, but he brushes them off and takes off with her purse.
A suspect was later taken into custody for the beating and was charged with felony battery.
However, the thief remains at large.
After being beaten, the woman was taken to a local hospital in Los Angeles in critical condition, cops said.
When the woman regained consciousness, she said she had no recollection of being attacked or robbed.
Police described the thief as a man between 40 and 50 sporting a mustache or goatee.
The news comes just a week after reports that a flash mob of looters ransacked a Nordstrom store at the Topanga Mall in Los Angeles as they attacked security guards with bear spray.
Looters stole an estimated $60,000 to $100,000 worth of merchandise from Nordstrom in the smash-and-grab attack, Los Angeles police said.
