Florida Governor Ron DeSantis warned that Haitians who illegally enter the U.S. through Florida could be bussed over to the liberal enclave of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
While speaking on conservative radio host Dana Loesch about a potential wave of illegal aliens from Haiti, DeSantis said that it was vital the state interdict any vessel coming ashore,
Haiti is on the verge of total collapse after being taken over by violent street gangs.
“We do have our transport program also that’s going to be operational,” DeSantis said.
“So Haitians land in the Florida Keys, their next stop very well may be Martha’s Vineyard.”
Last week, DeSantis said Florida “has been dedicating significant resources to combat illegal vessels coming to Florida from countries such as Haiti.”
“Given the circumstances in Haiti, I have directed the Division of Emergency Management, the Florida State Guard, and state law enforcement agencies to deploy over 250 additional officers and soldiers and over a dozen air and sea craft to the southern coast of Florida to protect our state,” he said.
“No state has done more to supplement the (under-resourced) U.S. Coast Guard’s interdiction efforts; we cannot have illegal aliens coming to Florida.”
Haiti is on the verge of collapse after gangs stormed the Port-au-Prince jail and freed thousands of criminals.
The country has been devastated by everything from major earthquakes to high-profile political assassinations.

This week, reports emerged that gags assaulted two upscale neighborhoods in Haiti’s capital, leaving a dozen people dead.
The Guardian reported:
Assailants looted homes in the communities of Laboule and Thomassin before sunrise on Monday, forcing residents to flee as some called radio stations pleading for police. Both neighborhoods had previously mainly remained peaceful despite a surge in gang attacks across Port-au-Prince that began on 29 February.
Afterwards, the bodies of at least 12 men lay strewn on the streets of nearby Pétion-Ville.
One was lying face up on the street surrounded by a scattered deck of cards and another found face down inside a pick-up truck known as a “tap-tap” that operates as a taxi. A woman at one of the scenes collapsed and had to be held by others after learning that a relative of hers was killed.
“Abuse! This is abuse!” cried out one man who stood nearby. “People of Haiti! Wake up!”
