Conservative host Dan Bongino responded to the footage of the Trump assassination attempt on Thursday, saying it was “implausible” that Secret Service agents missed intercepting the gunman according to newly emerged cell phone footage.
Bongino reacted to the shaky footage from Donald Trump‘s July 13th rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where would-be assassin Thomas Mathew Crooks fired multiple rifle rounds before being shot and killed.
The former director of the Secret Service, who has now resigned, as well as the acting chief, both claimed that agents faced multiple hurdles to neutralizing the shooter.
However, Bongino argued this does not stack up against the evidence.
“If you’re looking at the three o’clock, how the hell do you miss this?!” Bongino said.
“This is a cell phone camera! This is not a zoom, high, telephoto, freaking lens used to film a Marvel movie! It’s a cellphone! You can see the guy clear as day! How did they miss this?!”
“What is left to defend?” the former Secret Service agent said the agency is asking Americans to “believe the implausible” about just how impossible it was to try and stop Crooks from firing the first round.

“You were told 90 minutes out. You were 60 minutes out,” he said of the snipers.
“You were told by text. You were told by radios on the tactical net. I don’t understand.”
“You’re expecting people to believe the implausible because they can’t be expected to believe the alternative that this much incompetence was displayed on the same day.”

As we reported earlier this week, a Secret Service counter-sniper sent out an email to the entire Uniformed Division on Monday, warning of an impending assassination attempt on Donald Trump if changes are not immediately made.

Unsurprisingly, the counter-sniper says he no longer feels proud to work for the agency and calls for higher-ups to be fired.
“The Secret Service “SHOULD expect another assassination attempt,” the sniper wrote.
“This agency NEEDS to change. If not now, WHEN? The NEXT assassination in 30 days?”
“Sadly we have fallen short for YEARS,” the counter sniper continued.
