Former President Donald Trump is back on the Facebook-owned image-sharing app Instagram after being banned following the January 6th breach at the U.S. Capitol in 2021.
Trump’s account was deactivated in 2021 following Facebook and Twitter.
The 45th president now has Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram activated for the 2024 election.
Trump’s first posts launched the re-release of his popular NFT trading cards:
“I hope everyone notices, & I’m sure the Fake News won’t, that I’m leaving the price of the Trading Cards the same as last time, even though they are selling for MANY TIMES MORE (It’s called the MARKET!), & sold out almost immediately, because I want my fans & supporters to make money, & have fun doing it,” Trump wrote.
“I could have raised the price MUCH HIGHER, & I believe it still would have sold well, with a lot more money coming to me, but I didn’t choose to do so. I WILL BE GIVEN NO “NICE GUY” CREDIT?”
“I am pleased to inform you that, due to the great success of my previously launched DIGITAL TRADING CARDS, we are doing it again, SERIES 2, AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW,” wrote Trump “GO TO link in bio: https://collecttrumpcards.com/. Have fun!”
As The Hill reported:
Before the two new images touting his digital trading cards, the last post up on Trump’s account is a graphic inviting followers to “join President Donald J. Trump at the Save America March” on Jan. 6, 2021.
On the second digital trading card image, Trump wrote that he hopes “everyone notices” that he’s “leaving the price of the Trading Cards the same as last time, even though they are selling for MANY TIMES MORE.”
Over the years, Trump has used Instagram to share photos and videos of his political rallies and speeches.
The president’s Instagram account was often used to reflect his messaging on key issues, such as immigration and the economy.
