A fire broke out at Warner Bros studios after the set was engulfed by flames just hours ago.
Fifteen fire engines arrived at the scene as crews were called to the incident.
Photos posted across social media show clouds of smoke filling the sky.
Fox News reported:
Images posted on social media showed a plume of smoke in the air that appeared off a studio building roof. A single fire truck was seen pulling into the studio as the dark cloud of smoke billowed in the air.
As Deadline reported, Burbank Fire Department Battalion Chief Dave Burke told Deadline it was a transformer fire, and it was out. The first call came at 1:38 p.m. PT, and the fire was knocked down within 30 minutes. There was no damage to buildings, and no injuries were reported.
Sources told Deadline that power had gone out, and images of dark smoke emanated from the lot.
A WBD spokesperson told Deadline that they’re sending all staff home – admittedly, most staff are on summer Fridays – out of caution.
The spokesperson said they are launching an investigation, but the fire is thought to have started after a transmitter blew. It was localized on one of the far ends of the lot, ironically near its own fire station, and there were no injuries.
