It is no secret that America is crumbling under Joe Biden’s watch, with billions being sent to Ukraine and the destruction of U.S. energy independence; it’s no surprise that Americans are showing extreme economic pessimism.
As record numbers of Americans report they are worse off financially, the feeling of unrest is growing as things appear not to be getting any better.
According to an ABC News/Washington Post poll, 40% of Americans believe their financial situation has worsened under Biden.
The figures are significant because they are the highest percentage in 37 years of ABC News/Washington Post polls.
Meanwhile, just 6% of respondents reported being better off, compared to 25% under former President Trump. Just 13% reported being worse off under Trump.
Biden’s approval is taking a battering from the tanking economy, with 1% of Americans reporting that they are worse off financially since Biden took office.
The poll also revealed that 60% of self-identified Democratic adults don’t want Biden to run in 2024.
Meanwhile, half of Republicans, most likely RINOs, also expressed disinterest in a potential nomination of former President Trump.
In a hypothetical election poll, Trump would receive 48% of the vote, while Biden would secure 44%.
The numbers are slightly different among registered voters, with Trump receiving 48% and Biden receiving 45%.
Biden’s approval rating steadily declined throughout 2022 due to soaring inflation.
The sentiment was reflected in various polls leading up to the midterms showing voters had more trust in Republicans to manage the economy.
An August ABC News/Ipsos poll recorded the highest level of economic pessimism since 2008.
Biden’s presidency has gone from one disaster to another, most recently with his response to the Chinese spy balloon, which he later tried to claim victory after it was shot down.
Biden allowed the Chinese spy balloon to travel across U.S. territory without doing anything.
As the Daily Fetched reported, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Greene (R-NC) slammed Biden, saying it was “indefensible that this threat was eliminated only after great public outcry and the damage to U.S. national security and American sovereignty was already done.”
“The fact remains that President Biden when faced with the opportunity to protect the homeland from our adversaries, chose yet again to demonstrate weakness on the global stage,” Greene added.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul said Biden should have “taken care of this before it became a national security threat.”
“I hope we will be able to recover the wreckage to help determine what intelligence the CCP collected while its spy balloon was over our country for days,” McCaul said.
“I will be demanding answers and will hold the admin accountable for this embarrassing display of weakness.”
