President Joe Biden said that if former President Donald Trump loses the November election to Kamala Harris, he is not “confident” there will be a peaceful transfer of power.
In a clip of a CBS News interview set to air on “CBS Sunday Morning,” Reporter Robert Costa asked, “Are you confident that there will be a peaceful transfer of power in January 2025?”
Biden said:
“If Trump wins, no, I’m not confident at all.”
“I mean, if Trump loses, I’m not confident at all,” Biden said.
“He means what he says. We don’t take him seriously,” he added.

“He means all this stuff about if we lose, there’ll be a bloodbath.”
He added:
“Look what they’re trying to do now in the local election districts where people count the votes.”
“They’re putting people in place in states they’re going to count the votes, right?”
“You can’t love your country only when you win.”
Of course, Trump’s “bloodbath” remarks were spun and taken out of context by the media.
The former president was discussing the need to protect the U.S. auto industry from overseas competition and wasn’t referring to what would happen if he lost the election.
Biden dropped out of the race last month following pressure from Democrats for him to step aside after his disastrous debate performance against Trump that raised questions about his health.
Democrats then “anointed” Kamala Harris as their nominee without any public vote.
