Joe Biden has finally commented on the impeachment inquiry being launched against him this week, but his response may have made things worse for him.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced on Tuesday that House Republicans would be opening a formal impeachment inquiry against Biden, citing the Biden family’s “culture of corruption.”
However, while Biden initially failed to address the inquiry on Tuesday, he later gave his thoughts on the situation at a campaign fundraiser in McLean, Virginia.
Rather than addressing the specific allegations against him, Biden gave a “play dumb” response, claiming not to know why the impeachment inquiry was being launched.
“Well, I tell you what, I don’t know quite why, but they just knew they wanted to impeach me,” Biden said.
Biden also claimed that the impeachment inquiry was part of a Republican strategy in the ongoing battle over the federal budget.
“Now, best I can tell, they want to impeach me because they want to shut down the government,” the president said, according to The Hill.
So Biden is essentially telling donors there is no basis for this inquiry, and it is nothing more than a political attack.
But given the massive evidence against Biden, no one is buying his explanation.
Unlike Biden’s politically motivated witch hunt against Trump, there is real evidence of corruption against Biden.
The integrity of the Biden family is being called into question, and the American people deserve to know if their president has and is selling the country out.
What makes Biden’s statement all the more laughable is he claimed his attention was on solving the problems facing the nation.
You mean the problems you created, Joe?
“I get up every day not focused on impeachment. I’ve got a job to do. I’ve got to deal with issues that affect the American people every single solitary day,” he said, according to The Hill.
Since Biden took office, he has failed on the crime epidemic, illegal immigration, inflation and the threat of war with Russia and China.
