Joe Biden has accused Elon Musk of trying to “buy” November’s presidential election result after the tech billionaire announced he would donate $45 million monthly to a pro-Trump super PAC.
After Biden announced he was “sick” on X, he followed with attacking Musk.
“I’m sick… of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election,” he wrote.
“And if you agree, pitch in here.”

Musk previously endorsed Donald Trump just hours after the president was shot at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.

Biden also complained about Musk’s influence as socialist Senator Bernie Sanders.
“Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, is donating $45 million a month to the Trump campaign,” he wrote.
“If democracy is to survive in the US, we need to overturn Citizens United and move to public funding of elections.’
“We need a government that represents all, not just billionaires.”

Given the Democratic Party are largely funded by billionaire donors such as left-wing billionaire George Soros, LinkedIn founder Reed Hoffman, and many others, it’s ironic they are suddenly concerned about donations from billionaires.
Musk has become increasingly critical of Biden’s policies, and has been frequently in contact with Trump.
Musk stated in 2023 that the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story was “election interference.”
Musk also said he believes Trump would win the 2024 election in a “landslide victory” if he is was handcuffed and arrested.
