Former President Barack Obama was confronted by reporters on Saturday who asked him directly if his wife Michelle was “running for president” as he left the Funke restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Obama remained mum after being confronted amid the swirling rumours suggesting Michelle is preparing a run for president.
Last month, Republican Senator Ted Cruz predicted Michelle Obama would be deployed to take Joe Biden’s place in the 2024 race at the last minute.
“They are the left-wing of the Democrat Party, and when the media turns on the presumed Democrat nominee, I think that is the cutting edge of the Democrat intelligence saying we may have to cut bait and find someone new,” Cruz said during his podcast, “Verdict with Ted Cruz.”
“In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama,” he said.
Last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin also predicted Michelle Obama will be the Democrat Party’s 2024 nominee, and Joe Biden is “out.”
“Don’t be surprised. But I still say it’ll be Michelle O’ #2024Election. Biden’s out,” Palin wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Palin’s tweet responded to a viral post sharing political author Greg Rubini’s theory that California Governor Gavin Newsom will be the Democrat candidate.
“Kamala will be forced to resign as VP, and sent to the senate to replace Dianne Feinstein. Then, Gavin Newsom will be subbed in as VP. THEN they will REMOVE Joe Biden from office,” the post summarizes Rubini saying.
“Then, Newsom will run against Trump!” the post adds.

Last month, Obama insider and author and biographer Joel Gilbert also predicted Michelle is preparing to enter the 2024 race.
Gilbert, who wrote the 2022 book “Michelle Obama 2024: Her Real Life Story and Plan for Power,” recently appeared on “Real America’s Voice,’ revealing why he thinks Barack Obama could soon be a “first gentleman.”
“I think there’s something going on in Obama world,” Gilbert said.
“Michelle has been pretty much copying Barack Obama’s path to the White House,” Gilbert said.
Gilbert also highlighted that Barack Obama penned two autobiographies before his run in 2008, noting that Michelle put out a pair of autobiographical books, including one in 2022.
Conservative commentators and political pundits, including Roger Stone and Newt Gingrich, also predicted Michelle Obama could be the next Democratic presidential nominee.

Gingrich warned that a major departure from Biden’s White House could see the rise of a different Democratic administration.
The former Speaker said Michelle is showing obvious signs she is about to announce her run for president.
“I think Republicans had better pay significant attention to Michelle Obama,” Gingrich said.

While Michelle Obama has previously quashed rumors she would run for president, all the signs are there.
“I’ve never expressed any interest in politics. Ever,” Michelle Obama told Oprah in an April interview.
“I mean, I agreed to support my husband. He wanted to do it, and he was great at it. But at no point have I ever said, ‘I think I want to run, ever,'” she said.
